Florida Tour 2019

Next week, the lads of the DRFC will embark on one of the Club’s most cherished traditions—Tour. This year’s trip will see the squad to Florida, with training and matches in Key West and Miami. Tour Director Dylan “Noodle” Burke ’19, and a.k.a. self-proclaimed ‘Supreme Leader’ for the next two weeks, has worked tirelessly over the past months designing what promises to be a superb experience for the fellas. He’ll have something of a legacy to live up to after Peter Badenhausen’s '18 2018 Tour of Northern California.

The DRFC comes off a weekend of strong performances in Las Vegas, with the first squad winning the collegiate tournament, a successful XV’s season in the fall, and a winter of consistent hard work both in the weight room and on the training pitch. Big goals for this year’s tour include preparation for the DIAA Spring XV Championship and the Sevens season, which culminates with the CRC in June.

Dartmouth will compete in a sevens tournament at Florida International University on March 16th, a friendly XV match against the University of Central Florida on March 21st, and a friendly XV match against Eckard College at UCF on March 23rd.

Many thanks to Bob Phillips ’60 who hosted the boys for an end-of-season banquet Wednesday evening in Hanover. The alumni dedication to the Club never ceases to impress. We look forward to seeing our Florida alumni and family in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates from Tour!
